I'm Just Sayin by Alan P. Scaglione

“He’s Alive! Celebrate His Resurrection! Happy Easter!”

                                          I’m Just Sayin’”
                                                                 by Alan P. Scaglione
Was It A Morning Like this?
2000 years ago, when Mary appeared at the door of the tomb,
And it was rolled away.
She peered in and there it was: his funeral clothes were folded and laid inside the tomb.
He didn’t need them anymore!
He Arose!
Just like the Bible said…Jesus was raised from the dead!!
There is no other god like our God!
Today-- we celebrate Easter Sunday, the climax to a Holy Week where Christians everywhere proudly proclaim
He’s Alive Forevermore, And I’m forgiven-- He’s ALIVE!

My, how times have changed in America!!
We used to have Good Friday off work so we could celebrate the greatest gift given so willingly--Not anymore!
We used to say Happy Easter all week long to whomever we ran into on the street, at the job—Not anymore!
We used to wake up Easter morning, excited that He Arose and scurry off to church to be with family to celebrate the Resurrection—
NOT ANYMORE!
I had someone tell me this week that they didn’t want to offend anyone by saying “Happy Easter!”
I looked at them and said, “I will not apologize for my Savior and the greatest gift He gave when HE died for me on that cross!”
They looked at me like I was a fanatic!
If I am…I am proud to be one!
It’s Resurrection Sunday! There’s still an empty tomb in Jerusalem waiting for a body that’s not coming back!!
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, willingly gave His life for you and for me, so we wouldn’t get what we deserved.
No, instead of getting what we deserved: the wages of sin is death; No-- we get the gift of God, which is eternal life in Christ Jesus.

When do we ever get a deal like that? Only when dealing with the Lord!!
Listen to the words of the song called “The Gift” :
The gift He gave
The gift He brought
From His Father
Looking down on each of us
His gift was wrapped
In swaddling clothes
To someday hang on top a tree
He was born to die
To give the gift of life
So willingly….
He gave His gift
To you and me.

Hear the words “To someday hang on top a tree, He was born to die, To give the gift of life...so willingly!”
There’s another song that says Love Grew Where HIS Blood Fell—He could have Called 10,000 Angels to rescue Him—but instead, He said…
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!”
He hung there willingly, paying the price to trade our sin for His gift of eternal life…
He gave everything, we gave nothing...and got salvation in return!
The Scripture says in John 20:

So today, greet people in the street with a “Happy Easter!” – don’t worry about offending people; You should worry about offending Your Savior!
Remember when you first believed?
I shout from the rooftops “Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, sits on the right hand of the Father, and is coming back to get His people who look for HIM!”

But…will HE find YOU looking for HIS appearing????

Accept His gift of Salvation today—He died specifically … for YOU!

Until Next Time
I’m Just Sayin’…
